Through exploration and verbal expression oratorical training is taught to engage participants in learning how to outwardly and verbally express themselves through speech preparation and orations. The workshop is designed to identify children that may need counseling or other services. The overall goal of the workshop is to develop interpersonal communication skills, social behaviors, and to develop self-esteem through public speaking. This is the precursor to the training of Emmett Till Players. Auditions are announced and introduced during the workshop as parents and children become acquainted with the director.
